From 2008-10, Dinesh Karthik played for Delhi Dare Devils( Now Delhi Capitals).

From 2012-13 Dinesh Karthik played for Mumbai Indians.

In 2015 he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
From 2016-17 He played for Gujarat Lions.
