Rishabh Pant promoted as a Captain for Delhi Capitals on 30 March 2021.For the past two years, Shreyas Iyer led the Delhi Capitals to the next level in the last IPL season, i.e., IPL 2020.

In IPL 2020, Delhi Dare Devils were runner ups in the tournament.


Shreyas Iyer will be missed for this IPL 2021 due to Shoulder Injury; there was the bone dislocation while fielding in ODI match IND vs ENG series. So, Shreyas Iyer was ruled out from IPL 2021.


Rishabh Pant gave mesmerizing performances in ODI, T20 and Test recent matches both as Wicket Keeper and Batsman.


Delhi Capitals Management took a collective decision to make Rishabh Pant a Captain.


Delhi Capitals Coach Ricky Pointing said on Quote on Quote.

"He is carrying on the good form was in the past 3-4 months. Most of all, he is playing smart and Intelligent cricket. He is trying to slog every ball."


All eyes and expectation from Fans and team and DC team on Rishabh Pant. How he is going to lead as Captain.

Being new as Captain, How far he will put his efforts, come with accurate plans in the upcoming IPL season 2021.
