The 15th edition of IPL commence on March 26, 2022, and The final match is on May 29, 2022. Tata is sponsoring IPL 2022 season.

In IPL 2022, there will be ten teams sorted each five in two groups: A, B.
These groups are decided based on the team's performances in all the editions of IPL. Teams are ranked based on how many times they won and how many times they made it to the finals.
Group A:
- Mumbai Indians(5)
- Kolkata Knight Riders(2)
- Rajasthan Royals(1)
- Delhi Capitals
- Lucknow Super Giants
Group B:
- Chennai Super Kings(4)
- Sunrisers Hyderabad (1)
- Royal Challengers Bangalore
- Punjab Kings
- Gujarat Titans.
We have 10 teams in total this year. Each team will have 14 tournaments this season. Each team will play twice with their group and once with the other group.
Due to Covid protocols, IPL 2022 matches will be playing in Mumbai and Pune.
Tata IPL 2022 Venues:
Mumbai- Wankhede Stadium(20 matches)
Mumbai - Brabourne Stadium (CCI)(15 matches)
Mumbai - DY Patil Stadium (20 matches)
Pune - MCA International Stadium (15)
Each team will play 4 games at Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium, 3 matches at Bradbourne and MCA stadiums.
7- Home, 7- Away, 4- Playoff, so in total 70 matches
The final match venue will decide later.
