Delhi Capitals Vs Mumbai Indians Match 16 - MI won by 6 wickets

 The Mumbai Indians got the better of the Delhi Capitals in a closely fought match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The match took place at the Arun Jaitley stadium and Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Delhi Capitals were off to a decent start with David Warner and Prithvi Shaw scoring at a good pace. However, once Shaw was dismissed, Delhi Capitals kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Warner continued to anchor the innings and scored a half-century, but there was not much support from the other end. Axar Patel provided some impetus towards the end of the innings with a quickfire half-century. Delhi Capitals were bowled out for 172 in 19.4 overs.

In response, Mumbai Indians were off to a great start with Rohit Sharma scoring at a brisk pace. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma also made useful contributions, but the Delhi Capitals were able to take wickets at crucial intervals to keep themselves in the game. In the end, Cameron Green played a crucial knock to take Mumbai Indians home with six wickets to spare.

The match had its fair share of individual performances. Jason Behrendorff, Piyush Chawla, and Riley Meredith took wickets for the Mumbai Indians, while Mukesh Kumar and Mustafizur Rahman did the same for Delhi Capitals. Rohit Sharma was named the player of the match for his half-century.

This win takes Mumbai Indians to the second spot on the points table with two wins from three matches. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are at the fourth spot with one win from three matches.
