Rajasthan Royals Vs Delhi Capitals Match 11: RR won by 57 runs

Rajasthan Royals (RR) delivered a dominant performance against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 11 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. RR won the match by a whopping 57 runs, thanks to a scintillating batting display by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler.

DC won the toss and opted to bat first, but the decision proved to be disastrous as they lost three quick wickets in the powerplay. Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, and Manish Pandey all fell cheaply, leaving DC in a precarious position. Rilee Rossouw and Lalit Yadav tried to stabilize the innings, but their efforts were in vain as DC lost wickets at regular intervals. In the end, they could only manage to score 142/9 in their allotted 20 overs, with Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult picking up three wickets each.

In response, RR got off to a flying start, with Jaiswal and Buttler putting up a 151-run partnership for the first wicket. Jaiswal was the more aggressive of the two, scoring 60 runs off just 31 balls, while Buttler played the anchor role, scoring 79 off 51 balls. RR lost a few quick wickets towards the end, but Shimron Hetmyer's quickfire 39 off 21 balls helped them post a mammoth total of 199/4 on the board.

DC's bowling attack had no answers to RR's batsmen, with Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel going for more than 10 runs an over. Mukesh Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for DC, picking up two wickets for 36 runs.

In the end, RR's total proved to be too much for DC to chase down, and they fell short by a massive margin of 57 runs. RR's bowlers were clinical in their approach, with Chahal and Boult picking up three wickets each, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Jason Holder picked up two wickets each.

Overall, it was a complete team performance by RR, with their batsmen and bowlers firing on all cylinders. They will be looking to build on this momentum and continue their winning ways in the tournament. On the other hand, DC will need to regroup quickly and come up with a better performance in their next match.
