RR Defeats SRH by 72 Runs in IPL 2023 Match 4, Scores 203/5
In a high-scoring IPL match 4 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), RR emerged victorious with a massive 72-run win. RR set a daunting target of 204 runs after scoring 203/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
RR's top three batsmen put up a magnificent show, each scoring a half-century. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler opened the innings with a 105-run partnership. Jaiswal scored 54 runs off 37 balls, while Buttler smashed 54 runs off just 22 balls. Captain Sanju Samson continued the onslaught, scoring 55 runs off 32 balls. Fazalihaq Farooqi and T. Natarajan were the top performers with the ball for SRH, taking two wickets each.
Chasing the mammoth target, SRH had a dismal start, losing three wickets for just 13 runs. Despite Abdul Samad's 32 runs and Adil Rashid's 18 runs, the team could only manage to score 131/8 in their 20 overs.
Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers for RR, taking four wickets and conceding only 17 runs in his four overs. Trent Boult and Jason Holder also bowled well, taking two and one wickets, respectively.
In the end, it was a comprehensive win for RR, who displayed an all-around performance in both batting and bowling.
