Domestic Career:

Thakur made his first-class debut for Maharashtra in 2012 and has since then played for various teams such as Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Rising Pune Supergiants in the Indian Premier League. He has also been a consistent performer for the Mumbai team in the Ranji Trophy.

International Career:

Thakur made his international debut for India in August 2017 in a Test match against Sri Lanka. He made an instant impact, taking 3 wickets in the first innings and 2 wickets in the second innings.
