Travis Michael Head was born on December 29, 1993, in Adelaide, South Australia. He made his international debut for Australia on December 14, 2018, in a Test match against Pakistan.
Head is a left-handed batsman, and is known for his aggressive and dynamic style of play. He is also a handy part-time off-spinner.
Head has had a successful career at both domestic and international levels. He has scored over 10,000 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 45.20, and he has also scored over 3,000 runs in Tests at an average of 45.00.
In the 2022/23 Ashes series, Head was one of Australia's best batsmen, scoring 355 runs at an average of 71.00. He was also named the Player of the Match in the fifth Test at The Oval, where he scored a century in each innings.
Head is also a regular member of the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.
